Porcelain Veneers can usually be completed in two office visits in addition to your consultation. The first visit will include prepping the teeth to receive the veneers by removing a thin layer of enamel from each tooth. We’ll take impressions of your teeth for the permanent veneers and attach temporary veneers that will look and function like your natural teeth while the permanent veneers are being custom made for you in our lab.

The second visit will include cleaning your teeth and roughening the surface which allows the permanent porcelain veneers to adhere strongly to your teeth. Your custom veneers will then be fit to your teeth. Dr. Chang will ensure that the fit and color are correct for a healthy, natural looking smile. Finally, the veneers will be permanently attached and any final adjustments needed for your bite will be made.

You’ll be able to enjoy your beautiful new smile with porcelain veneers by cleaning them just like you would natural teeth: brushing twice a day and flossing. Be careful about drinking anything that can stain your teeth like coffee or tea and it would be best to avoid hard foods like hard candy and ice. Doing these few things will help your veneers stay beautiful for ten years or more.
